About The Artist

Hi! My name is Armando Parrilla. I’m a graphic designer living in Southern California, and my passion for design has taken me into so many different genres of art. I love bringing creativity into everything that comes out of this side of life: logos & trademarks; visual identities such as business cards or website graphics; Realist portraits and even poster art inside your house can make you feel like home again…

I am a hands-on, and get them dirty kind of guy. I’ve been told that sometimes I overstep my boundaries with new challenges as they can be daunting at times but in general it’s an awesome feeling when people say “thank you” for doing something useful!

When I started drawing it was just to pass time, then it was therapy, an outlet of sorts. Realism is what I gravitated towards, I remember I would draw portraits on envelopes and cards for soups. Yes, a starving artist was me from the start. This journey in art started in 2002 while incarcerated, it has been mostly self-taught. I say mostly because I did attend art school in 2012 where I learned photography and digital design, connected with a lot of good people in the art world. Art in my life has been a never-ending journey.

Today I’m passionate about life and art. I like that raw street art you see on Venice beach boardwalk or a downtown Las Vegas street corner, the shit you see that is made of trash, paint, bolts or chip bags whatever the case. This is what brings joy, just like watching my grandsons playing in the mud not giving a shit about anything but the mud in their hands.

I do what I do and go about my business, my passion for life and art is that. I’m very lucky to live life today on life’s terms.

I hope to see my art take me away from my day job lol. Reason being, sometimes I feel like I’m working for someone who followed their dreams.

I don’t want to put a cap on where my art can take me, its limitless, endless possibilities.

I would probably go back to doing pencil portraits for soups.

I heard someone say the most realist thing they did was turn their life around and I felt that.
I really believe life will pay you what you ask of it, so ask wisely.

FAQ

FAQ

Day of the Dead (known as Día de los Muertos in Spanish) is celebrated in Mexico between November 1st and November 2nd. On this holiday, Mexicans remember and honor their deceased loved ones. It’s not a gloomy or morbid occasion, rather it is a festive and colorful holiday celebrating the lives of those who have passed on. Mexicans visit cemeteries, decorate the graves and spend time there, in the presence of their deceased friends and family members.

The Day of the Dead NFT project is a collection of 7,777 unique “Dead Head Chicks” that bring talent, passion and authenticity into Art. Inspired by the Mexican holiday “Dia De Los Muertos” we hope to create a community the continues to remember and celebrate their loved ones.

The pre-sale event will be accessible through our official website only. This will be starting on November 1st at 10am PST. Pre-sale people will be able to mint up to 3 “dead head chicks” per person. Starting 10am on November 2nd the public minting will become accessible on our official website. During this event, you will be able to mint our NFT’s at a cost of 0,0777 ETH. After this initial minting process, you can showcase and trade your “Dead Head Chicks” on OpenSea.

We have been tirelessly working to create a one-of-a kind experience that can be used in any way you see fit. We believe this is what makes our NFT projects truly special and we want nothing more than for people all over the world, from different walks of life, with diverse needs, find real value by owning these pieces.

We are a group of experienced entrepreneurs with proven track records who have made it their mission to stay on schedule and deliver what was promised. We will continue being very public about everything that happens in order for this project, which is uniquely positioned at its height with great potential ahead!

You know that feeling when you first pick up a book and it just flows? That’s how we felt as soon as our team put this project together. Headlined by a passionate group of experienced entrepreneurs, we have come together to create what will soon be called “The Solanaverse.” A metaverse on the Solana Blockchain delivering both amazing content and real world utility. You can’t help but be excited for all of these people coming together on one page (or blockchain). But don’t take our word for it–Join our Discord to find out more!

$OFRNDA is the utility token that fuels the Day of the Dead Graveyard ecosystem. It is NOT an investment and has NO economic value.

Solsand is the beginning of a long-term, community driven, sustainable NFT project within what we will soon call “The Solanaverse,” a desert meta verse on the Solana blockchain. Unlike other projects where people come together at the end with an already finished art collection to try make it successful, we’re making this project whole from the beginning – improving each step along the way so there isn’t anything standing in our path or holding us back from perfect and complete execution of this roadmap!

We’re a team of marketers, designers and artists dedicated to creating high-quality artwork that has real world utility. As we’ve stepped into blockchain development and the NFT space, art and creativity have partnered together creating real world utility beyond anything we ever imagined. We are working day & night to produce the highest quality 2D or 3-dimensional artwork that carries intrinsic real world application for holders. The future of creative is here! Join us in this amazing adventure!!!

The Day of the Dead Team is active on Discord and Twitter throughout most of the day. We’re more than happy to answer any questions you have!
